Tryfonopoulos, (nee Koutsougeras), 94, born in Vlaherna, Greece, Beloved wife of John; Devoted mother of Peter (Angie) and Nick (Charlotte); Cherished grandmother of John, Christos, Alexander, Anastasia, Eleni, and Amalia; Loving sister of Maria (John) Gryparis, the late Vasilios (Maria) Koutsougeras, the late Vasiliki (late Eleftherios) Tsalavoutas, and the late Ioanni Koutsougeras; Dearest sister in law of the late Athanasios (Efstathia), the late Konstantinos (Chrysoula), the late Venetia (the late Petro) Dermatas, and the late JoAnne (the late Kosta) Diamond; Fond aunt, cousin and friend of many. Anastasia was a remarkable and saintly woman whose caring touch was cherished by all those she loved. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation, Friday February 19, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church 2350 E. Dempster St. Des Plaines, IL. 60016. (75 people allowed in church during service). Interment will follow to Elmwood Cemetery. (25 people allowed at grave area, everyone else must remain near their autos, and will be called up to place flower upon casket). Please omit flowers, donations in her memory to St. John Church or the Greek American Nursing Home 220 N. 1st Ave. Wheeling, IL. 60090 appreciated. Due to restrictions of Covid-19 everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing at church and cemetery.
